Schleich is one of the largest German toy manufacturers and a leading international brand for authentic animal figures that awaken children's love of storytelling. Friedrich Schleich founded Schleich in Schwäbisch Gmünd in 1935. Today, the famous figures and sets of the schleich® brand are sold in more than 60 countries and have become a popular toy in children's rooms all over the world, giving free rein to children's imaginations. As a global player with Swabian roots, Schleich now generates more than half of its sales outside its core market of Germany. In 2022, Schleich generated a worldwide turnover of 275 million euros and sold around 40 million animal figures. Sustainability is a key commitment: as a first step, all figures will be recyclable by 2027. Schleich is also conducting intensive research into recycled materials for the future production of its toys. In addition, Schleich will have its figures and packaging optimized and certified according to Cradle to Cradle® circular economy standards by the end of 2027 to ensure the reuse of resources.
