Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is a fairy tale of the famous collection by the Brothers Jacob (1785-1863) and Wilhelm (1786-1859) Grimm.
The young princess “Snow White” lives in a beautiful palace. As her mother died early she now suffers a vain, cold-hearted and cruel stepmother. Every day the queen asks her magic mirror to confirm herself to be “the fairest one of all”. But one day the mirror declares Snow White the most beautiful one of all and the wicked queen decides to have her stepdaughter killed by a huntsman. But the huntsman feels pity for the girl and lets her run away. Deep in the heart of the forest she meets the legendary Seven Dwarfs. But the magic mirror tells the queen where Snow White has gone to. Dressed like an ugly, old hag the queen gives Snow White a poisoned apple. After the first bite, the girl falls to the floor, seemingly dead. The dwarfs find the girls and cannot bear to bury her. So they build a glass coffin trimmed with gold. A prince comes along, falls in love and is able to bring her back to life with “love’s first kiss”.

"Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs” is probably one of the most famous fairy tales in the world and one of the most popular fairy tale films at the same time. Walt Disney made the first ever animated feature of this wonderful classic in 1937 – an important milestone in film history.
