Description:
Politeness is king!
A red hat, a blue duffel coat, and always a jar of orange marmalade in his brown suitcase – that's Paddington!
After an earthquake in the bear forest of Peru, the little bear, as one of the few survivors, must emigrate. As a stowaway on a cargo ship, he arrives in London. There, Paddington quickly wins the hearts of everyone, especially the Brown family. The Browns take the little bear into their home and name him after the place where they found him: Paddington Station. Their new housemate turns the family's life upside down, as he must now find his way in London, which is nothing like the jungle in Peru he is used to. At least he brought his love for orange marmalade with him – preferably on two slices of white bread. He always carries a jar of marmalade in his suitcase, and since his meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, everyone knows that there is always an emergency marmalade sandwich tucked under his hat.
The charming bear is no longer just a local celebrity. Two successful feature films and a contemporary TV animation series have captivated a new generation around the world with Paddington.
For over 65 years, Paddington has stood for helpfulness and kindness – a message that is more relevant today than ever before.
