The famous Disney’s movie ”Beauty and the Beast” as well as the successful musical are base on the original story “La Belle et La Bete” by the French aristocrat Madame Leprince de Beaumont (1711 - 1780).

The beautiful girl Belle is forced to live in the castle of an ugly, gruff beast to save her father's life and freedom. What she doesn’t know is that the beast in fact is a handsome young prince living under a curse which can only be lifted by the Kiss of true Love before his 21st birthday. Miserable Belle is consolidated by the beast’s servants, who have all been changed into household objects: the candle bearer Lumière, the wardrobe Madame de la Grande Bouche, the kind-hearted tea pot Madame Potts and her little son Tassilo and Cogsworth, the clock.
And in the end, everyone recognizes that beauty sometimes lies within…
