Pet Alien is a screwball non-sequitur character-comedy with a heavy emphasis on physical gags à la Tex Avery’s Looney Tunes. Much of the humour is derived from looking at a rather normal 12-year-old’s life and relationships through anything but normal alien eyes—specifically the eyes of Dinko, Gumpers, Flip, Swanky and Scruffy.

Pet Alien was launched in the UK on CiTV, running 5 days a week in November 2004. The series now runs in the ‘Ministry of Mayhem’ slot on Saturday mornings and GMTV will begin airing Pet Alien in March 2005, further bolstering terrestrial output. The series will premiere on Cartoon Network Europe in the first quarter of 2005 and on all of the network’s other broadcast services across the globe, including Latin America, Asia/Pacific and Japan, throughout the rest of 2005. Such comprehensive broadcast rights across both terrestrial and satellite are unparalleled and demonstrate the success of the series on an international basis.
