The grand Bavarian family saga is set in Lansing, 50 km outside the Bavarian capital. In contrast to the vicinity to Munich, life in Lansing follows its own rules: Extreme piousness, life in tune with nature and earthy placidity - that’s their cosy sense of home.

Lansing is dominated by the pub-owner, his family and the Kirchleitner family, a local brewer dynasty. The series tells about four generations, their relations and their strokes of fate and luck. The 21 people in Lansing handle their fate with intelligence and stubbornness, tradition and open minds. Despite all misunderstandings and quarrels, they always keep their heartiness and their sense of humour. After all: Dahoam is Dahoam. (Home is home)
