Walt (Walter Elias) Disney was born in Chicago, 1901. He invented some of the most famous cartoon characters, like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

On October 16th, 1923 he and his brother Roy Disney founded a small animation studio, which today is one of the largest media and entertainment corporations in the world. Year after year the Disney Company releases popular and successful animation movies. Walt Disney himself died in Burbank, 1966.
