The animated film produced by Steven Spielberg's Amblin Entertainment first appeared in cinemas in 1988. There have since been many more sequels and a television series of the same name. Littlefoot and his family decide to make their way to the Great Valley when they slowly run out of food in their old home. There, they say, there is food in abundance. On his way, he loses his grandparents and his mother dies in a fight. But he makes friends with other dinosaur children along the way. Together they embark on a journey through a fascinating primeval world full of volcanoes and earthquakes, where they experience many exciting adventures.
