The German TV series "Katrin und die Welt der Tiere" is about twelve-year-old Katrin, who lives in a flat with her mother. It was broadcast on Super RTL from 2009 to 2010.

Katrin loves animals and has a great interest in them and wants to learn as much as she can about all kinds of animals, from kangaroos to arachnids. Her uncle Andreas, who is an animal keeper at the zoo, helps her with this and allows her to get to know his protégés up close.
