Sammy and his friend Ray travelled the world to find his true love Shelly. Being grandparents now they are determined to lie on their shells and spend the rest of their lives lazing around.

But suddenly they get caught and locked up in the aquarium of Dubai. Together with their new friend Jimbo, a goggle-eyed fish, a gruff lobster, Annabell the sweet octopus and a whole family of penguins they devise a cunning plan for their Great Escape.

Here the grandchild turtles Ella and Ricky come into play: They desperately want to help putting the plan into motion.
