At the end of the 1980s young police officer Mick Brisgau was severely wounded while on duty. 20 years later, he comes out of coma and faces a totally different world. Mick realizes, that his wife has found a new partner, his daughter has grown-up – and his job does no longer involve the direct methods he loved so much back in the 80s. He grudgingly adapts to new realities, but prefers to do some things according to his own rules …
